Joanna Nichols, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Trauma-Informed Therapist

Joanna Nichols is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose practice focuses on helping thoughtful individuals move beyond patterns of anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and chronic self-pressure.

Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Integrative Hypnotherapy, and other trauma-informed approaches, Joanna helps clients explore the emotional and subconscious patterns that often remain beneath awareness yet continue to shape daily life, relationships, and self-perception.

Her approach is collaborative, grounded, and paced with care. Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, therapy creates space for deeper understanding, emotional regulation, and lasting change.

Joanna is trained in EMDR and may integrate EMDR-informed techniques when appropriate. Her current practice primarily focuses on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Integrative Hypnotherapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

Joanna’s Approach

Joanna integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, integrative hypnotherapy, and trauma-informed approaches to support meaningful internal work centered around emotional safety, nervous system awareness, and long-term change.

Her approach is not about fixing what is broken, but understanding the patterns, adaptations, and protective responses that once helped people survive and may no longer need to lead.

This work is collaborative, thoughtfully paced, and centered around curiosity, compassion, and deeper self-understanding.

A Little Personality

Joanna brings a calm, grounded, and authentic presence to her work, along with a healthy sense of humor and the understanding that healing does not always have to feel clinical or performative.

And yes, her rescue dogs may occasionally stop by to say hello during sessions. Rutabaga and Chance Jammer remain valued members of the team.
