“It’s time to release the burdens of the past and find a deeper connection with yourself.”

- Joanna Nichols, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

You remember a time when anxiety and depression weren’t the “norm… “but those days feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?

You’ve come to the right place.

I’m Joanna, I help men and women just like you; the ones that have it within themselves to overcome painful past experiences, but just need support to get there.

I help my clients achieve a newfound sense of peace and a reinvigorated outlook on life by equipping them with the tools they need to feel more in control of their emotions and reactions, and more able to navigate life’s changes.

Many of today’s solutions for trauma are one-size-fits-all, leading so many to feel like they’re not making real progress. I know that your circumstances are unique, so every step we take is tailored to you and always with your unique circumstances and goals in mind.

First, we work together to create a safe, trusting relationship so that we can develop a deep understanding of your past and present experiences that are causing the problems you’re experiencing. Then, we discover the coping strategies and trauma-healing techniques that will be most effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll emerge with a renewed sense of resilience, authenticity and a brighter vision of your future.

I’m dedicated to helping people heal the pain of the past.

My Training in EMDR and IFS means I have the expertise you need and deserve when resolving your trauma. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a hard-working adult struggling with anxiety, right?

I have devoted my career to understanding how trauma impacts our brains and our bodies. As a trauma survivor myself, I know how painful it is to feel the parts of yourself that you do not like or that actively seek to harm you. Whether it’s the inner critical voice constantly reminding you of your flaws, the overwhelming urge to use substances or self-harm, or the constant feeling of never being good enough, you can often feel like your own worst enemy. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist - You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
